ISSF Junior World Cup 2026:  India Leads with 16 Medals

At the ISSF Junior World Cup 2026 in the Cairo, Egypt India currently at the top of the medal tally with the total of 16 medals. The Indian contingent have secured five gold, six silver and five bronze medals and underlined the country’s growing strength in to the shooting sports on the global stage. Hemant Burman won silver in the men’s 50 metre rifle 3 positions event with an impressive score of 351.7, while Kazakhstan’s Oleg Noskov, who set a junior world record of 355.6, won gold. Uzbekistan’s Nikita Sokolov took bronze. In the mixed trap team event, Zuhair Khan and Addya Katyal clinched bronze, marking India’s first shotgun podium at the Cairo meet. Hungary won gold with a junior world record score. India fielded 71 shooters, the largest contingent among 284 shooters from 25 federations. Vanshika Chaudhary and Chirag Sharma won the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Cairo on Saturday (April 25, 2026), taking India’s gold tally to five.
